Hollywood icon Kevin Costner appears to have turned a new page in his personal life after enduring a highly publicized and painful divorce. Reports suggest the Yellowstone star is now dating Kelly Noonan Gores, a 46-year-old director and the ex-wife of billionaire Alec Gores—someone described as being “exactly his type.”
Just months before his split from handbag designer Christine Baumgartner, 51, Costner had spoken warmly about their marriage. In a November 2022 interview with People, he praised her ability to make their house feel like a true home, saying, “It’s the power of love, the little things she does.”
However, Baumgartner—mother of Costner’s three children—filed for divorce in May 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. What followed was a drawn-out legal battle over custody and finances, which concluded in February 2024. While she initially sought $248,000 per month in child support, the court awarded her $63,209 monthly instead.

The former couple ultimately agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their children: Cayden, 18, Hayes, 16, and Grace, 15. Costner admitted the breakup was devastating, telling CBS Mornings, “It’s powerful. It hurt. But I go forward. My children are looking at me…I can’t wilt like a daisy.”
A Fresh Start
Insiders say Costner has since found happiness with Kelly Noonan Gores. Though he has tried to keep the relationship low-key, the pair were recently spotted together at the JAS Labor Day Experience festival in Aspen, sparking speculation that things are becoming more serious.
“Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time,” one source told RadarOnline.com. “Kelly is calm, grounded, and exactly what he needs.”
Friends of the couple say they share many interests, from outdoor adventures and sports to long walks with their dogs. Kelly also has young children of her own, something Costner reportedly finds endearing.

According to insiders, the connection between the two has quickly grown stronger. “With Kelly, she’s fallen for his charm 110%,” a source revealed. “It’s hot and heavy right now, and the sky is the limit.”

Another insider, however, told US Weekly that the couple is “seeing each other casually” and were introduced through mutual friends in Aspen. For now, the relationship is described as “not serious yet” but full of potential.

Costner isn’t the only one embracing a new chapter. His ex-wife Christine Baumgartner recently got engaged to financier Josh Conner, who proposed during a romantic beachside dinner in Santa Barbara, California.
