TV star Carol Vorderman puts serious dedication into maintaining her enviable figure, and she recently reminded fans of that commitment by sharing new photos that highlight her signature hourglass shape. Dressed in fitted workout gear, her toned physique and confident energy quickly caught attention online.
The Welsh broadcaster regularly posts clips of her demanding gym routines on Instagram, where her followers have affectionately nicknamed her “Supervorders.” When she’s not on television, exercising, flying a plane, or posing for photos alongside Tom Cruise, Vorderman enjoys spending time with what she calls her five “special friends.”
Read on to learn more about Carol Vorderman and the lifestyle that keeps fans talking.
At 62, Vorderman has just celebrated an extraordinary 40-year career in television, with more than 10,000 appearances across shows including Countdown, Lorraine, The Great Celebrity Bake Off, and ITV’s This Morning.
But she’s far more than a familiar face on screen. Known for her sharp intellect, Vorderman earned her private pilot’s license in 2014. A year later, she joined NASA as a board member of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, where she helps inspire young people to engage with space and science.
Away from the studio, the former Have I Got News for You host spends plenty of time in the gym, prioritizing strength and mobility as she gets older.
“Women in their 60s weren’t really encouraged to exercise when we were younger,” she told HELLO!. “As you age, weight-bearing exercise, stretching, and squats become essential. If you stop for even a short time, you really feel it. Working in a visual industry also means I have to be mindful of how I look, just like many other women—even if it’s not always something we want to focus on.”
Recently, Vorderman posted gym selfies wearing a grey crop top and fitted leggings, proudly showing off her curves. Alongside the images, she wrote: “Five gym sessions this week. It feels amazing to be back in the routine. Eating well, drinking water, walking lots, breathing fresh air… this is my happy place.”
The photos captured her mid-workout, lifting weights and performing cable rope curls, her confidence shining through.
Fans were quick to respond. “A fountain of youth—you look incredible,” one commented, while another simply wrote, “Supervorders.” Others left playful remarks such as, “No way I could keep up with you, but I’d love to try,” and “I might need to rewatch that third clip a few more times to perfect my form.”
Another fan jokingly added, “What a great way to spend a weekend with a special friend.”
The post followed shortly after a light-hearted moment on This Morning, when co-host Dermot O’Leary teased Vorderman about her love life while she was absent from the show. Alison Hammond burst into laughter as O’Leary joked about Vorderman’s long-standing, no-strings-attached relationships with several men she fondly refers to as her “special friends.”

During the segment, a viewer called in to discuss her own romantic dilemma—dating three men at once—which prompted Hammond to laugh, “Did you just say a love square?” O’Leary quickly added, “You wouldn’t be Carol Vorderman, would you?”
Vorderman has always been open about her personal life. She has said that her current arrangement suits her perfectly, as she isn’t seeking a traditional relationship. Since her split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007, she has embraced independence after two previous marriages—to Christopher Mather (1985–1986) and Patrick King (1990–2000), the father of her two children.

“I’m not interested in getting married again or living with a man,” she has explained. “I don’t want to look after someone all the time. It’s time to challenge the idea that one person should meet all your emotional needs—that’s unrealistic.”
Describing herself as non-jealous, Vorderman has said her partners are single men who are also free to see other people. “No one is being hurt,” she said. “It’s a joyful way to live.”
“They don’t know each other, but they know the situation,” she added. “It’s honest and open. One has been my friend for 11 years, another for seven. My children, Katie, 31, and Cameron, 25, know most of them.”
Recently, Vorderman delighted fans by sharing a playful video of herself dancing and lip-syncing to It’s Raining Men, clearly celebrating her single life. The clip drew enthusiastic praise, with comments like, “That’s absolutely brilliant—your moves are fantastic!” and “What a stunning woman.”
There’s no doubt that Carol Vorderman remains committed to her health, her happiness, and living life on her own terms—and fans continue to admire her confidence, honesty, and unstoppable energy.
