Mystery Behind Barron Trump’s Disappearance from NYU Campus Revealed

Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, is making his own mark in higher education. Unlike his older siblings—who all graduated from the University of Pennsylvania—Barron chose to attend New York University’s prestigious Stern School of Business.

While he didn’t follow the exact academic path of his father, who studied at Wharton, Barron’s decision still reflects a shared passion for business and entrepreneurship.

Speaking about his son’s college choice, Donald Trump expressed pride and approval.

“It’s a very high-quality place. He liked it. He liked the school,” Trump said. “We liked NYU. I’ve known NYU for a long time—it’s one of the highest-rated schools. I went to Wharton, and that was certainly one we considered, but we went for Stern. He’s a very high-aptitude child—but he’s no longer a child.”

Despite being the son of a former president and a global business figure, Barron has remained notably private and grounded. A TikTok post that went viral claimed the 18-year-old prefers to keep a low profile on campus, often carrying an $88 black backpack instead of luxury designer items.

The post, cited by Express, described Barron as “approachable” and “thrifty,” adding that under his father’s influence, he values simplicity over extravagance.

“Barron has lived a life of comfort since childhood, but he’s modest in private. His inexpensive school bag helps him blend in with other students and participate in activities comfortably,” the user noted.

The TikToker also suggested that Barron’s understated lifestyle mirrors Donald Trump’s public stance against waste and extravagance, pointing out that Trump has donated portions of his presidential salary to charity.

“Even at 18, Barron avoids luxury goods. It helps build a positive public image and prepares him to take on greater responsibilities in the future,” the post concluded.

Barron recently completed his first year at NYU, but according to People magazine, students have noticed his absence from the main Manhattan campus this fall. A university official reportedly clarified that Barron is spending the semester at another NYU location.

With NYU operating campuses in Brooklyn, Abu Dhabi, London, Paris, and Shanghai—as well as study centers in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.—his exact location remains unknown. Wherever he is, Barron Trump appears to be carving out his own identity, quietly pursuing his education and business ambitions away from the spotlight.
