Kate Middleton Has ‘Turned Corner’ in Cancer Treatment, Royal Sources Reveal

A new update from Vanity Fair suggests that Catherine, Princess of Wales, has made encouraging progress in her cancer treatment and is said to be “doing a lot better.”

Since publicly revealing her cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt video earlier this year, the Princess has remained largely out of the public eye. Her time away from royal duties has provided a much-needed period of rest and recovery.

Beyond Prince William’s brief remark during a royal appearance—assuring the public that he’s been “looking after” his wife—few official updates have emerged. However, a source close to the royal family told Vanity Fair's royal correspondent Katie Nicholl that Kate’s preventative chemotherapy has been going well.

“It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better,” the insider shared. “It has, of course, been a very challenging and worrying time. Everyone has rallied around her—William, her parents, and her sister and brother.”

While the Princess made a brief appearance on social media last week to highlight a mental health initiative she helped spearhead, sources emphasize that she’s in no rush to return to public engagements.

“There is no timeline, and there is certainly no hurry,” the source noted. “Catherine will return to her royal duties when she feels ready and has the full support of her medical team. But there’s no doubt she will be back.”

The insider explained that Kate chose to share the project update on social media to reassure the public that she’s making progress. She continues to receive unwavering support from Prince William and her close-knit family, including the Middletons.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a video showcasing one of the projects Kate has been working on quietly behind the scenes. The Princess is described as the "driving force" behind the initiative, which was reportedly underway even before her diagnosis.

Though no official images have been released, it’s been reported that Kate has been seen out and about with her family in recent days. Still, sources caution the public against reading too much into these sightings, as she continues to prioritize her recovery.

“No one wants to put any pressure on Catherine,” a royal source told MailOnline. “What matters most right now is her health. She has been through a lot this year.”
