An elderly couple had recently learned how to send text messages on their phones.
The wife had a romantic streak, while her husband was more straightforward and practical.
One afternoon, as the wife was out for coffee with a friend, she felt inspired to send her husband a sweet, heartfelt message. She typed:
"If you're sleeping, send me your dreams. If you're laughing, send me your smile. If you're eating, send me a bite. If you're drinking, send me a sip. If you're crying, send me your tears. I love you."
The husband, ever the pragmatist, replied:
"I’m on the toilet. Please advise."
