She Parked Her Car One Day To Do Some Shopping, But When She Returned, She Saw That Hundreds Of Unwanted Guests Had Attacked Her Car

Carol Howarth, a resident of Haverfordwest, UK, parked her car with the intention of doing some shopping. However, upon her return, she was met with an unexpected sight – her car was besieged by hundreds of uninvited guests.

A sizable swarm had taken residence on the rear of her vehicle, creating a spectacle that caught the attention of onlookers, including a local named Tom Moses, who was both amazed and concerned by the scene.

Describing the incident, Tom remarked, "It was a real show. I drove there and saw that many people who were taking pictures had already gathered. But I was a little worried. The car was right in front of a bar, and I was afraid that someone would do something stupid, like throw boiled water on them. Everything could end very badly."

Fearing potential harm, Tom promptly reached for his phone and contacted bee specialists to address the situation. After some effort, they successfully corralled the swarm into a box.

However, Carol's relief was short-lived, as she discovered the next day that the bees had not left her side. In a twist of fate, the swarm had followed her home, prompting another call to the beekeepers.

Roger Burns, one of the beekeepers, offered an explanation for the bizarre occurrence, stating, "We think the queen was attracted to something that was in the car, probably something sweet. Then she was caught somewhere in the plastic of the car. The swarm of over 2,000 bees followed her and gathered on the car."

With diligence and expertise, the beekeepers managed to liberate the queen, allowing her to return to her hive. Reflecting on the peculiar event, they noted, "It is normal for bees to follow their queen, but it is strange that they followed a car for two days in a row!"
