With weekly cancer treatments underway for King Charles in London, Prince William has assumed the responsibility of representing his father and fulfilling royal duties.
Moreover, William is juggling his commitments by supporting his wife recovering from planned abdominal surgery and looking after their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Recently, William participated in an event to raise funds for London’s Air Ambulance. During his speech, he expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support for his wife and father, acknowledging the kind messages.
Amidst the audience was actor Tom Cruise, with whom Prince William shared a light-hearted moment, joking that Cruise shouldn't "borrow" any of the helicopters for his next Mission Impossible venture.
The prince playfully remarked, "If you wouldn't mind not borrowing either of the new helicopters for the next Mission Impossible, it would be appreciated. We have all seen on our screens that, how can I put it, you seem to have a different take on normal wear and tear to the rest of us."
Addressing the event's significance, William emphasized the recent medical focus and his desire to temporarily escape it. He highlighted the critical work of air ambulance teams, drawing on his experience as a former pilot for East Anglia Air Ambulance.
Acknowledging the urgent need for a new fleet in London, he emphasized the time constraint, aiming to have two new helicopters equipped with the latest technology, including night vision, by September.

During the event, Prince William engaged in conversation with Ellen Convery, formerly known as Ellen White, a prominent figure with over 100 games played for the England women's football team.
While King Charles is undergoing treatment, he will not be attending public events and is spending his interim moments at the Sandringham estate. The specific details of his cancer diagnosis remain undisclosed to the public.
