BREAKING: Kate Middleton Appears on Video, Announces She Has Cancer

After months of maintaining her privacy amid widespread speculation about her health, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, publicly disclosed her cancer diagnosis on Friday in a video statement released by Buckingham Palace.

"In January, I had significant abdominal surgery in London. Initially, it was believed that my condition was non-cancerous," Kate revealed in the video. She went on to explain that subsequent tests after her 'scheduled' abdominal surgery confirmed the presence of cancer.

"My medical team recommended a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am currently in the initial stages of this treatment," she shared. "This news was, of course, a tremendous shock. William and I have been doing everything we can to privately process and manage this situation for the sake of our young family."

The Princess explained that she needed time to recover from the surgery and to "clarify everything" to her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

"As you can understand, this has been a process. I needed time to recuperate from the major surgery before beginning my treatment. Most importantly, we took the necessary time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in an age-appropriate manner and reassure them about my well-being," she said. "I've told them that I am doing well and growing stronger every day by focusing on activities that aid my healing, both physically and mentally. Having William by my side has been a tremendous source of comfort."

She did not specify the type of cancer she is facing.

In the video, Kate appealed for privacy during this challenging period for her and her family.

"William's presence has been a significant comfort and reassurance, as has the overwhelming love, support, and kindness shown by so many of you. It means the world to both of us. We hope you will understand that, as a family, we now require some time, space, and privacy as I undergo my treatment. My work has always been a source of great joy for me, and I eagerly anticipate returning when I am able. But for now, my focus must be on making a complete recovery," she added.

"At this moment, my thoughts are also with all those whose lives have been impacted by cancer. To everyone confronting this disease, in any form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone," she concluded.

Her public announcement dispelled various conspiracy theories that had been circulating for the past few months.

Amid ongoing speculation about the Princess of Wales' condition and whereabouts, British authorities were reportedly asked to investigate a potential breach of Kate's medical records, according to a British health minister.

Kate's decision to disclose her cancer diagnosis and the treatments she has begun may be linked to this suspected breach of her health records.

Following her abdominal surgery, Kate had not been seen in public until TMZ published a photo of her in a car with her mother.

Subsequently, Kate posted a photo of herself and her children on the patio. However, it was later determined that the image had been altered. The Princess took responsibility for the manipulation, admitting that she had edited the photo herself.
