Woman Killed in Head-on Crash Seconds After Uploading Facebook Status

Courtney Ann Sanford, a 34-year-old woman known for her driving experience, tragically lost her life in a car accident. While driving, she was listening to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams and decided to share her feelings about it on social media.

She took a selfie and captioned it, "This song makes me happy!"

Tragically, that brief moment of distraction turned fatal.

Just a minute later, Courtney’s car collided with a truck at approximately 60 km/h, sending her vehicle into a ditch and then into a tree. The force of the impact caused her car to catch fire. Sadly, she was trapped inside and did not survive.

Her family was informed of the accident and also discovered her final Facebook post, which was hauntingly close in timing to the crash. Law enforcement reported, “The post was made at 8:33 AM. At 8:34 AM, we received the emergency call.”

This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of texting while driving. No message is worth risking a life.
